Sam Walker began dancing when she was 3 years old at Tina’s Dance Academy in Spring Hill, Florida, where she trained in various styles including jazz, lyrical, contemporary, modern, hip hop, tap, ballet, and pointe. By the time she was 8, she joined the studio’s competition team and danced competitively until graduating in 2023, receiving various top overall placements, awards, and scholarship invitations.

Sam is now completing her BA in Dance at the University of Tampa, with a minor in Entrepreneurship. Recently at UTampa, Sam has received the 2025 “Emerging Choreographer” Anzia Award by faculty members Amanda Gabaldon and Susannah LeMarquand. She is also currently part of the University’s prestigious Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship, where she is conducting research on the benefits of mentorship within dance classes for students with disabilities.

Sam is entering her 3rd year as a dancer on the University of Tampa’s Dance Team, the Spartan Scarlets. While on the Scarlets, she has been named a Stand Out Dancer, performed at community and school events, and has competed with the team in 4 top placing nationals routines at the College Classic National Competition.

Sam is extremely passionate about movement, technique, and fostering creativity with her students. She is so excited to be part of the LUX family and cannot wait for this season to begin!​
