Team Mission

The Collective is for the highly motivated dancer who seeks to perform at a more committed level. Dancer’s auditioning should reflect the following characteristics: 

• Is self-motivated and is able to self-evaluate while striving for improvement

• Is working towards or has a solid technical foundation

• Strives to be a leader through acknowledging their desire to grow and develop as a dancer while accepting constructive criticism and applying teacher corrections

• Brings their fun personality and positive attitude to class/rehearsals

• Has respect for all teammates/faculty at LDC

• Families and dancers show support for the LDC community   

Commitment: This cutting-edge program offers both introductory and advanced training, fostering a positive team environment and studio culture. We are a team. “One team, one goal.” This commitment is not to be taken lightly. We are eager to maintain an environment that fosters strong leadership and teamwork. 

The Collective is for dancers looking for additional dance education and performance opportunities. We strive to become leaders in our dance community while maintaining achievable goals as a team. LDC looks forward to illuminating the artist in your dancer!

ABOUT THE COLLECTIVE: 

​The collective consists of three teams & a Ballet Company. Dancers are not required to be a member of Sparkle, Radiance or Luminance in order to participate in Lumina.

Sparkle: Ages 4-6 (Beginner/Intermediate)

The Sparkle team serves as the introductory level to our competitive program. These shining stars are eager to share their love of dance by consistently showcasing what they’ve learned in their dance classes to their family members at home. Despite their young age, we offer a more advanced approach to those seeking increased stage opportunities. We look forward to maintaining fun and imaginative classes while advancing their training. We believe that exceptional dance training can commence at a young age, laying the foundation for future growth and success.

Radiance- Ages 7+ (Intermediate)

The Radiance team is our intermediate competitive program, offering dancers the opportunity to accelerate their training and gain more performance experience. While dancers in this program possess varying levels of experience and technical ability, the emphasis is on growth and confidence-building while offering vast opportunities.

Luminance - Ages 7+ (Advanced)

The Luminance team represents our elite competitive program tailored for dancers aspiring for advanced training and accelerated performance opportunities. Dancers in our Luminance Team are motivated to pursue dance beyond grade school and demonstrate a dedicated commitment to their entire training journey. Placement in this program is based on work ethic, technical proficiency, and confidence.

Lumina Ballet Company - Ages 9+

Lumina Ballet Company is dedicated to illuminating the beauty, discipline, and storytelling power of Ballet. Through innovative performances and a commitment to both tradition and modern expression, we inspire dancers to find light within movement. Our premier Ballet program offers elevated training and refined performance opportunities for dancers who demonstrate exceptional artistry, technical precision, and dedication to the classical discipline. Designed for those aspiring to pre-professional programs, collegiate dance, or professional careers, Lumina provides a pathway for students seeking growth beyond a weekly commitment. Placement is determined by artistry, work ethic, and technical excellence, ensuring a company of disciplined, passionate dancers poised for success.​​
